William K. Gamble graduated from San Francisco Law School in 1968 with a Doctorate degree in Law. He did graduate work in Criminal and Corporate law at the University of Southern California. He was an assistant Professor of law teaching criminal law, evidence and conflict of law at Western State Law School for three years.

Mr. Gamble uses his 40 years plus of legal experience to analyze and solve your legal problem--not create a bigger problem.

He has successfully tried and settled numerous personal injury cases. In addition, Mr. Gamble has tried hundreds of criminal cases and has obtained not guilty verdicts in almost every major felony case–murder, robbery, rape, arson, sales and drug possession, assault and battery, etc. He has successfully tried drunk driving cases and has won many hearings before the DMV allowing his client to keep their drivers license.

For ten years, he was in charge of the CDT (Criminal Defense Team) that contracted with Northern Santa Barbara County to handle all criminal conflict cases that the Public Defender could not accept. This assignment involved criminal cases of every kind, including juvenile and appeals.

Mr. Gamble practices State and Federal law. He has appeared in Court as Lead Counsel in Federal Court in California (Southern, Central, Eastern and Northern District Courts), Florida, Texas, Washington, Arizona and Nevada. He has appeared in State Court in California in almost every County. He has practiced extensively in Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and Orange Counties.

He owns a twin-engine airplane and is multi-engine and instrument rated. He has flown over 12,000 hours. Ownership of his aircraft allows him to accept cases throughout the United States. For many years he flew aerobatics as a hobby.

Aside from a legal education and legal experience, Mr. Gamble believes a lawyer’s work background and life experience is an essential part of being an effective trial lawyer. His work experience includes working in construction on weekends and during the summer, while attending high school. After four years as a Navy Corpsman he worked for Smart and Final, unloading boxcars and driving a forklift. He attended law school at night and taught high school at Wilkins Private High School. He eventually became Headmaster and ultimately purchased the Private High School. Mr. Gamble owned and operated Golden Gate Summer Camp that provided recreation activities for children, ages 4 through 14. He also was a licensed fight manager and managed the 9th rated world featherweight, Bobby Rodrigues.

Mr. Gamble’s hobbies include bicycling, flying and photography. He has been the major contributing sponsor for the Tailwind Bike Club for several years. In 1992, he formed the William K. Gamble Law Firm Cycling Team to support a Cal Poly University student’s effort to make the 1992 Olympic Cycling Team. The William K. Gamble Law Firm Cycling Team members included the National Collegiate Champion, the National Criterion Champion and three members of the United States National Team. The team toured throughout the United States racing. The Cal Poly student missed qualifying for the Olympic team by about 6 inches in the final race. Mr. Gamble is involved in various styles of photography and digital imaging.
